The Marine Corps will help you pursue higher education during and after your service. The 3 primary college funding options available through the Marines are the Montgomery GI Bill, the Marine Corps College Fund and the Tuition Assistance program.

The Montgomery GI Bill is the primary college funding option available to Marines who choose to pursue a degree. The GI Bill can help you receive up to $37,000 in assistance. It can be used at colleges, technical schools and vocational schools. You can use monies from the G.I. Bill at the undergraduate or graduate level for up to 10 years after honorable discharge.

The Marine Corps College Fund is available for Marines. This benefits those who complete an active duty contract of at least 48 months and show an aptitude for classroom learning. In conjunction with the GI Bill, it funds virtually all college expenses once you have finished your duty in the Marines.

The Tuition Assistance Program provides up to 100% of the cost of off-duty or voluntary education. This program is applicable to accredited colleges and universities.  Marines may take advantage of this program while they are completing active duty.
